What is Potassium?
Potassium is a natural mineral for the body and its normal range (3.5 – 5 mmol)
Its essential for:
- Muscle contractions including the heart
- Maintaining fluid balance in the cells
- Plays a major role in the nervous system
The kidney has an important role in regulating the potassium in the body by removing the excess of it in the urine.
When the kidney isn’t functioning well, that would lead to a quick raise in blood potassium level and that is very dangerous and could lead to a sudden heart attack.
Therefore, its important to control your daily intake of potassium by:

- Controlling the fruit and vegetables included in your daily diet
How to Cook the Vegetables:

- Lemon can be used to enhance flavor
- Spices and onions can be used while cooking in small amounts
- Cooked in a large amount of water no less than 20 minutes
