General Surgery Specialized Clinics at Care Medical – Malaz

The General Surgery Specialized Clinics at Care Medical – Malaz, a hospital accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), provide surgical care for adults and children across the full range of general surgery. Alongside the General Surgery Clinic, which is the first stop for most surgical problems, the service offers dedicated clinics for bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, breast surgery, thyroid and endocrine surgery, and colorectal and anal conditions, and a Pediatric Surgery Clinic for infants, children, and adolescents, so that each patient is seen by a surgeon whose practice is focused on that condition and that age group.

Minimally invasive surgery is preferred whenever possible, and most operations are performed laparoscopically (keyhole surgery), with smaller wounds, less pain, and a shorter hospital stay. Surgery is performed in the hospital’s operating rooms with the hospital’s anesthesia team, with the intensive care unit, the Emergency Department, and the hospital’s other specialists behind every operation. This is what allows patients with diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, or other medical conditions to be operated on safely here.

Why patients choose us

  • General surgery in one place: Gallbladder, hernia, appendix, weight-loss surgery, breast, thyroid, and colorectal and anal conditions, for adults and children.
  • Keyhole surgery whenever possible: Laparoscopic surgery as the standard approach, with less pain, faster recovery, and a shorter hospital stay.
  • A female surgeon if you prefer: Women who prefer to be treated by a female surgeon can choose one when booking.
  • A complete weight-loss surgery program: Assessment, nutrition, surgery, and follow-up over the long term, with dietitians and endocrinologists.
  • Thyroid and endocrine surgery: Thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery, in partnership with the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center.
  • Breast care from first check to diagnosis: Assessment, imaging and needle biopsy within the hospital, surgery for benign breast conditions, and prompt referral within the Care Medical network if cancer is found.
  • Surgery within a full hospital: Safe care for patients with diabetes and other medical conditions, with anesthesia, intensive care, and inpatient support, and emergency surgery around the clock.
  • One surgical team, from clinic to recovery: Your operation is planned in the clinic, and the general surgery team looks after you in hospital and follows you after you go home, with the Wound Clinic between visits.
