What is Phosphorus?

Phosphorus is one of the natural salts of the body. It is important because:

 * Strengthens bones and teeth.

* Assist in muscle contractions and relieve the pain of contractions after high muscular effort.

* Has an active role in the growth, maintenance and repair of tissues and cells.

The kidney has an important role in regulating the amount of phosphorus in the body by excretion of excess through the urine, but when not working well, this may lead to high phosphorus very quickly in the blood, and this is very dangerous because it may lead to the removal of calcium from the bones and thus Bone weakness, and when phosphorus and calcium are met, body build up can cause heart and lung blockages. Therefore, it is necessary to control the amount of phosphorus contained in your daily diet: By abstaining from all foods rich in phosphorus. (see table below)
